HAHS is finally in the fourth quarter, and summer is getting so close I can almost feel it. The weather is warming up, the days are getting longer, and everyone is starting to count down the days. The summer is almost here, but first we need to take a moment to reflect on the year. Since it is now the fourth quarter, it is time to reflect on how the third quarter went
Kaylea Detweiler, Sophomore and now school board representative, had a really strong third quarter, keeping up her streak of straight A’s all year, that is definitely not easy to do, but she made it happen. She also helped out with the charity basketball game and even became a school board representative, which she is super proud of. Kaylea shared what helps her get through the third quarter, “No matter how depressing times may get, especially in the winter, you just need to look forward to the sunshine of the summer.”
For Sophomore Alaena Cox, the third quarter felt long, mostly because of the winter. Waking up when it was still dark out made things feel a little more miserable. But once the first two quarters were out of the way, she said the work felt a bit easier. She kept her grades up, made the honor roll, and even landed a spot in the top 20 of her class.
