Over this past long weekend, a student at HAHS celebrated her birthday. Jordan, a sophomore turned 16 on February 14, also Valentine’s day. Hello Kitty is Jordan’s favorite thing in the entire world, she said. The theme of the party was Hello Kitty with karaoke, Twister, and tons of amazing food. “My favorite part was the karaoke because I like singing, especially my favorite songs with my friends,” said Jordan. All of their friends came to the party, which was split into two sections. The first part was very formal, having people dress up and wear nice clothing while the either half was in comfy clothes for the giant Twister game. While playing Twister, a lot of their friends fell, they said. “It was really funny watching my friends twist and bend in ways they didn’t think that they could,” Jordan said.
The other half of the weekend was spent at a large sleepover hosted by her grandparents. There were seven girls there, including herself. All of the girls ate tons of pizza and cheese fries. They stayed up all night, talking and giggling amongst each other, trying to be quiet. Some of the girls even dyed their hair and got their nails done at the sleepover, which was fun. “Now, my bathroom is dyed pink and red, but it was so worth it,” said Jordan after the hair dyeing process. Jordan said that they had a lot of fun, especially at the sleepover and getting to spend time with their closest friends.
