Mrs. Keck is a Computer and Career Awareness (CCA) teacher at HAHS. Alongside CCA Mrs. Keck teaches Business Fundamentals, Accounting, Microsoft Office Certification, and Sports Entertainment Marketing. She has been teaching for 20 years and has found that her favorite part about her job is when students understand the “why” of what is being taught and how it will help in the real world.
Her job is to help students plan and be prepared for future careers. Some things she has done to help students are to create cover letters and create resumes, and she has run mock interviews with her students all from the beginning of the school year to now.
Mrs. Keck got into teaching because she knew she loved business. For example, she loves accounting, however she did not like the idea of an office job. Therefore, over time she found love in teaching to help students gain knowledge in business. At home, Mrs. Keck has three great boys and a husband who is a state police officer. Mrs. Keck does a lot in helping students become successful and responsible adults.
