Thanksgiving takes place on the date of November 28, 2024. Most students celebrate Thanksgiving with their family. Some students stay home or go to other family member’s houses to celebrate.
Victoria Snyder is staying at home for Thanksgiving. Her mom is making turkey, cornbread, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, corn, and pies. This Thanksgiving her cousin, aunt, grandma and siblings will be with her. She and her family will watch the Macy Thanksgiving parade and watch football. Victoria’s birthday is around the same time as Thanksgiving so she has presents and cake that her and her family like to celebrate.
Mrs McCarthy cooking at home for Thanksgiving. “Right now the count is 16 and it’s still growing,” she shared. She will be making turkey, ham, corn, beans, green beans, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie and cheesecake. “We are eating early this year at noon so I am very excited to also eat leftovers for dinner,” she shared. She is looking forward to spending time with her grandkids who are nine and five and they will help her make personalized place settings.
For Thanksgiving, I will be going out with my family to a family friend’s house. Every Thanksgiving for the past four years we have gone to her house. She will make ham, turkey apple pie, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, bread, green bean casserole and sweet potatoes. My siblings and my dad will also be there. My family and I usually sit on the couch and talk for hours about random stuff and we usually watch the football game or play music.
All around the world people celebrate different ways to celebrate Thanksgiving in their own unique way.
