Lanaija Holt is a junior in high school who has been attending BCTC for two years as a cosmetology student. She works at Burger King part-time, and she likes to go on vacation. She chose cosmetology in BCTC to help make people look amazing for whatever they are doing with their amazing looks. She is now learning about doing hair color, braids, curls, wedding updos, facials, and nails. Her favorite is nails and braids. The hardest part for Lanaija is the bookwork.
She plans to enter nursing school using what she knows and gets from BCTC because they help people most when they need it. She chose to go through BCTC because it is a good way to get what students need after school while still in school. It is also a good way to let their creative side out and make new friends with the same interests. Lanaija is unique because she has a part-time job after school and she keeps good grades with all her classes.
