As the first quarter ends, many seniors are thinking about or already have sent out applications to schools. Many seniors are feeling scared, excited, or both for their futures. Many students also plan on going straight into the workforce right after school.
Senior, Mia Gassert, plans on attending college. She has already applied to six colleges, which include Bucknell, Lafayette, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, West Chester, University of Vermont, University of Pittsburgh. Her top choices are Bucknell and University of Vermont. She does not plan on commuting due to the distance to and from the colleges. Mia is very interested in STEM and specifically sciences. “I want to major in engineering, or more specifically biomedical engineering!” Mia is very excited to continue her education in college and see where her future takes her.
Senior Asceniah Pinter is against going to college and is prepared to enter the workforce. “I go to BCTC for Automotive Technology and plan on working for my stepmom after high school.” Asceniah has been working on cars with her uncle for a while, as well as her own car. “I have many supporters and I am very confident with my decision. I love working on cars, and it has been my passion for a while, so I can’t wait to have this as my occupation.”
Regardless of which path the 2025 seniors decide to pursue, many are bright and will excel in whatever they choose for their future.
