In the beginning of the year many students have to decide what club they want to be in. Some students chose to be in the Jigsaw club which has been run by one of the math teachers, Miss Heckman, for four years. She has always loved doing them on her own time and wanted students to enjoy them as well. This club is meant to be fun, enjoyable, and easygoing.
A student that joined this year as freshman was Kaida Chwatek. “I joined because I like jigsaw puzzles, and I want a quiet place to talk with my friends,” said Kaida. She chose this club over others because it is fun and relaxing. Another student that joined this year, also as a freshman, was Shealynn Galaskewicz. “I joined because sometimes I like doing puzzles,” said Shealynn. She chose this club because she thought it seemed very interesting. Shealynn has also been enjoying the puzzle that she has started so far too. There were also many other freshmen that joined this year as well.
One student that has been in this club before and joined again this year was Chole Brennan. She has been in this club for 2 years. She was in it her freshman year and now as a Junior. There were also some other students who joined this club again from last year too. Chole joined this club again because she really enjoys making puzzles and likes the peaceful atmosphere of the room. “I really like making puzzles on my own time too with my grandma,” said Chole. Just like Chole, Shealynn and Kaida also like doing a variety of styles and difficult puzzles at home whether that be during the holidays or just on a regular day.
