As the end of the first quarter of the 2025 school year ends at Hamburg Area High School, students realize just how quickly school has been going. The official end of the first quarter was October 25 while grades were due on Wednesday, October 30. This time of the year tends to bring many students anxiety as they realize just how little time they have to ensure they are happy with their grades. Many students rush to do extra credit assignments to achieve their grade goals while others just learn to be happy with what they have.
Most students and teachers are in a state of shock that the school year is already a quarter of the way done with. Junior Tia Adam is one student who feels that the quarter went by very quickly. She also said that she gets nervous about getting a bad grade that she can not then make up. It also stresses her out when a teacher does not put a grade in until the very last minute which may heavily impact her grade. However, she and I both recognize that the end of the quarter means that we are one step closer to summer.
