Thanksgiving is an amazing holiday where people get together with their families, eat lots of delicious food, and take the time to be grateful for what they have. This year the holiday will be celebrated on Thursday, November 28. Ninth grade student Graylea Knight says, “Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because I get to see family from other states that I only see once a year. For my family it is a two day celebration with a cousin sleepover in between.”
November is a chilly month and the weather is typically cooler. Usually the temperature range is around 60 degrees fahrenheit but can vary depending on the type of year we are having. Higher temperatures can lead to mid 70s and lower temperatures throughout the year can cause them to drop around forty degrees. This shows that the weather in November can really fluctuate. It is said that if trees show buds in November then the cold winter will last until May.
A birthstone is a gem that represents the month a person was born in and each one holds a meaning. Sagittarius starts on November 22 and ends on December 22. Each of the 12 signs are based off of a different constellation in the night sky.
