There are plenty of traditions at HAHS that come and go and this year seems to be bringing more than letting go. First, it was Fall Fest and now the Hamburg Haunted House, organized by the class of 2027 and STUCO. This will include a haunted house, fall scavenger hunt, a movie theater, and photo booth, taking place on October 30 from 6 to 9 PM. It can cost up to only 11 dollars.
The sophomore class president, Lydia Fultz, says it was an easy idea to come up with, but that does not negate the thought and effort that went into putting it together. “Hopefully this will be a fun activity to bring students together.” This is going to be one of the bigger fundraisers during the year for the sophomore class, and there is hope this can be an annual tradition every year for fun activities and a perfect student bonding experience among peers. “We want to make Hamburg more exciting.”
This idea appealed to some students, one being Hunter Jennings, a sophomore. He believes that it was overall a good idea to come. “Students should go if they are bored on October 30th and need a fun, scary thing to do that night.” He thinks that it will be an exhilarating way to end the month of October.
Not only would students get to enjoy a scary night, they would also be benefiting the class of 2027 with raising money. For more information about this event, check the email that was sent out earlier this month. You can pre register to get the photo booth for free.
