Victoria Snyder – 9
Hamburg’s new staff member, Stephanie Russell, is a paraeducator here at HAHS. She’s from the western part of North Carolina. Russell likes to read in her spare time. Mrs. Russell has a husband with 3 daughters. Before coming to Hamburg, Russell worked in healthcare for 19 years. One of her favorite parts about her previous job was the fact that she got to teach new employees how to do their job.
Before becoming a paraeducator, Russell was a sub at HAHS. “I wasn’t looking it really just found me,” said Russell referring to her position as a sub. She signed up to be a sub in August of 2023. After subbing for the school term, she happened to see the opening of her now job as a paraeducator.
She enjoys almost every part of her new position here at Hamburg. As a paraeducator Russell helps students that require personalized support in order to reach their personal and educational goals. One challenge she faced was getting into the swing of things. Other than that Russell is deeply appreciative of her position. HAHS is thrilled to have Mrs. Russell as a new member of its staff.
