On September 2, the students of Hamburg Area High School experienced a four day weekend for Labor day. Many of the students had plans with friends and family. The most popular plans were going to Hamburg-er fest which was held in town, or going away for the weekend.
The Hamburg-er fest was shared with many laughs and smiles. It was a very popular event for the students since it was easily accessible. Kaeli Cox, a senior, enjoyed walking around town and seeing all of the stands and venues.
Many of the students also traveled outside of Hamburg for the weekend. Sophomores Faithmarie Eisenhard, Hunter Jennings, and Kaylum Riegal traveled to the beach. Sophomore Kadryn Adam went to a cabin and Evan Kern went to their mom’s friend’s house in the mountains. Each of them enjoyed the quick trip and definitely hope to do it again.
Getting out of the house for the weekend was not everyone’s first choice. A lot of the students decided to sleep in, catch up on small assignments, or binge watch their favorite shows. The most popular show was Outer Banks, because the students cannot wait for the next season to be released.
