Anyone but You is a love-hate relationship movie directed by Will Gluck starring Sydney Sweeny and Glen Powell on Netflix. It started out with a cute date between the two main characters Bea, played by Sydney Sweeny, and Ben, played by Glen Powell. Bea, after spending the night at Ben’s due to falling asleep while talking, leaves before Ben is even awake. Ben sees her slip out of the house and feels like he was just stood up. Ben’s friend eventually comes over and Ben and he start talking badly about Bea because she decided to ditch him. Little did they know Bea was standing in the doorway to Ben’s house and only stepped out to make a call. This is what started the drama between the two and is displayed throughout the movie.
The rest of the movie is about Bea’s sister approaching her wedding day, but Bea and Ben are forced to live at the beach house where everyone is staying. They must try to cooperate with each other in order to not ruin Bea’s sister’s wedding. They end up faking a relationship in order to make their past partners jealous, who were also staying at the beach house, and to not make things harder for the wedding planning.
I never thought that this type of romance movie would ever interest me with the enemies to lovers type of scenario. But it ended up being a really cute and silly movie. The movie is Rated R so there is some inappropriate language and moments but the movie is a must watch.
