Cinderella’s Closet is a yearly fundraiser by the drama club to raise money for the graduating seniors. The sale includes all kinds of dresses, short and long, and they can be worn to any type of event; prom, Christmas dance, sweet 16 party, graduation, or even just a pretty dress to wear daily. This allows the high school students to shop for dresses around $20 to $50 instead of $200 to $500. The drama club made a total amount of $713 with 29 dresses, 28 pieces of jewelry, and three pairs of shoes sold.
Mrs. Jackson, one of the drama club directors, loved arranging the dresses in rainbow order, watching the students find the perfect dress for them, and looking at the dresses as they were donated. She hated when the curtain rods continuously fell down, making the dressing rooms exposed.
For next year, Mrs. Jackson is hoping to add a section for the guys, suits, sports coats/jackets, ties/bowties, and button-down shirts so that there can be more participation from the entire student body next year.
