Over winter break an exciting event happened other than Christmas; New Year. This holiday marks the end of the year and the start of a new one. A lot of people do traditions like eating twelve grapes under a table or eating pork and sauerkraut. Another popular tradition people do is set a new year’s resolution or an action that they would like to complete or progress on as the year progresses.
Landon Poulios, a freshman at Hamburg Area High School, talks about his New Year’s resolution: to not let people get the best of him. He chose this because he said, “At the time my friend group was breaking apart and it felt like they were using me.” With this being said he has said that his 2023 resolution was fulfilled. “It was a long process, but worth it,” he said.
Brielle Cox, another freshman at Hamburg Area High School, shared about her 2024 resolution. Her goal for this year is to not procrastinate. She plans on finishing this resolution by writing the date everything is assigned in her agenda and more efficiently working on them. Brielle plans to feel less stressed about due dates and more worried about getting work done.
