While senior year is exciting and scary, there are brand new opportunities available and new adventures to take. Catrina Feltenberger, a senior, who is also involved in cheerleading and Agriculture Science club, is looking forward to graduating. She does not feel like she “is already a senior. I swear yesterday I was still a junior.” She looks forward to this because she wants to be free and do what she wants to. After high school she plans to “go back to tech for night classes, and get my welding certification.” After receiving her welding certificate, she wants to pursue a career in welding.
While in high school she enjoys seeing her peers and all the good times she has with them while they last. She also enjoys cheering, which she has done since youth. There is no singular moment that she enjoyed most about high school. It was “all the times I was with my friends having fun will always be the most memorable.” Catrina advises underclassmen to “Try your best at the work because in the end as long as you pass your classes you’ll still graduate.”
Peyton Snyder, Catrina’s friend of many years, says, “I will be sad when she graduates because we got really close this year.” She also added, “I will miss her and going to Hummel’s every Thursday to go line dancing.” They have cheered together since elementary school “so cheer will not be the same.” She will miss her a lot but she “can’t wait to see the great things she accomplishes in the future.”
