The freshmen of Hamburg had expectations for high school, but not all of them were met. Jordan Cunkle said,”I knew that we would get a map for navigation but I still think that it is a lot easier than I thought. I thought the furniture would just be chairs but now there is a lot of comfy seating. I wish 9th graders had lunch with each other because I can not see the person that I want to.”
Arianna Naranjo said that high-school was not what she had expected. She did not expect the hallways to be so crowded. Navigation was hard for her because it seems like there are too many hallways. A good thing she can say is that the chairs are a lot better than she had thought, especially the couches. The lunch room was what she had expected since she got a glimpse of it in kindergarten.
Dakota Schneider said, this summer she was nervous for school. She was not sure if she would be able to find her classes and was worried about getting lost. When we got the tour it was very confusing for her to find where she was going. But in reality it was not hard for her to find the classes once school started. Everything was more simple than she thought. She was working herself up just to realize that the high school is not as intricate. Most of the things we were told she was expecting.
Lydia Fultz said, navigation was easier than she thought, the furniture is nicer, and the lunch room is how she imagined it, but overall she does not think it is as great as it was hyped up to be.
