Students use various bags around school

As most people see, some students around HAHS carry bags with them to hold and carry their stuff. Students started carrying bags around the middle of second quarter. Students started carrying bags because of not being able to carry around backpacks anymore due to school rules. The bags can be a round about the same size as the computer bag. On page 23 of the agenda it says “No carry bag can be larger than 13” x 15” in size. Any bag larger will be considered a book bag and be required to be stored in a locker.”

Abby Wahl, freshman, carries around a bag with her. Her opinion on carrying bags is that “they are efficient.” They help her by helping her carry less of her supplies for school such as her binders and her folders, making it easier to transport all of her belongings for her needed classes. Abby started carrying her bag around Christmas, and she would not go back to not using her bag. Abby would prefer to stay with using her bag even if students were allowed to go back to wearing backpacks.

Erica Gerner, sophomore, does not carry a bag. Her opinion on students carrying bags is that she personally would not get a bag. Personally she does not feel like carrying a bag. Erica makes two locker stops a day and if she carries a bag it could make those two spots be no stops. My personal opinion on the bags is that I like carrying them.

Carrying the bags makes it easier to do things such as packing up at the end of class. It also makes it harder to drop everything in the hallway.
