Mrs. Kline and students plan on starting an all flute ensemble

A new ensemble is in the works in the HAHS music department. Mrs Kline and a few of her students are starting a flute choir.

Orion Holl, the student who originally had the idea to start a new ensemble, states, “I came up with the flute choir during our winter concert after watching the other ensembles. I believe that it would be a unique thing to add.” Her goal for the new ensemble is “for everyone to enjoy practicing and learning new music.”

The members of the ensemble have not begun rehearsals yet. Mrs. Kline plans to have rehearsals from 2:30 to 3:00 every day three. Orion is eager to start practicing, stating, “I am very excited to get together with the other flutes and start making music.”

With enough practice the ensemble should be prepared enough to perform at the upcoming spring concert. Mrs. Kline hopes to have the flute choir play in between ensembles. This will help to hold the audience’s attention while ensembles are changing. Orion is looking forward to performing at the spring concert and she thinks “the flute choir would be much enjoyed by the audience.”

Make sure to keep an eye out for the flute choir at the next HAHS music department concert.
