LEO club sells pasta

Among the many clubs at Hamburg Area High School, there is one that does a lot of volunteer work. The club is called LEO club, and it is a youth organization of Lions Clubs International. The purpose is to help the youth develop leadership skills by participating in fundraising and volunteer work.

The current fundraiser includes club members selling “Fun Pasta” to people in and out of the school district. The pasta will be sold from October 20 to November 17. What makes it “Fun Pasta” is not the fact that  some may find selling the pasta fun, but the fact that the pasta comes in fun and silly shapes. There is a wide variety of pasta shapes from lacrosse and football, to dogs and cats, and there are even fun holiday shapes.

Morgan Riegel is a member of LEO club, and she said that she thinks the fundraiser is a very good idea because pasta is quick and easy to make so most families probably eat it. It is very beneficial for everyone because it brings another menu item to the table and raises money for the school. As a member of LEO club I also think it is a good idea. It is very quick and easy to sell as well as fun to sell. Remember the pasta fundraiser will be going till November 17.
