Summer comes to an end
September 30, 2022
As summer comes to an end, everyone is settling in at the Hamburg Area School District. For the Hamburg Area High School, homecoming is just around the corner and the students are getting excited. Summer is at its end, which means autumn is next up on the list. Autumn is that time of the year when everyone in the neighborhood brings out the fun fall decorations. It also means that fall sports are almost here.
Autumn is also the time of the year when things get spooky: haunted houses, hayrides, harvest fests, trick or treating, costume parties, and of course, Halloween. Mrs. Trubilla, an English teacher at HAHS said,“I love Fall because I love anything haunted and spooky.” She also loves the fall weather and fall fests. She is “absolutely” excited for fall. She does not like humidity and Autumn does not have much of that. Mrs. Trubilla is looking forward to trick or treating, sweaters, pumpkins, spooky things, and of course Halloween.
Madeline Handwerk, a freshman at HAHS, described fall as, “The best time of the year.” She also said she is very excited for fall and she is looking forward to Halloween the most. I am also excited for autumn, I can not wait for the beautiful fall colors, the fun Halloween costumes, and the nice sweater weather.
